Round Again

End of the road is the start of the road
Finish line's where the gun gets showed
Snake eating its tail for lunch
Got a feeling, call it a hunch
I've been standing in this spot before
Different shoes but the same damn door

So tell me now
Where does the circle start?
Tell me now
Where does the circle start?

Round again, round again
Here's where I come in
Round again, round again
End is where I begin
Round again, round again

Chicken or the egg, my friend, who's first?
Question quenches its own thirst
Dreamer dreaming up the dream
Woke up inside my own scene
Built the road that built my feet
Beginning's where the endpoints meet

So tell me now
Where does the circle start?
Tell me now
Where does the circle start?

Round again, round again
Here's where I come in
Round again, round again
End is where I begin
Round again, round again

Who wrote the author?
Who sang the singer here?
What was before the before?
And why am I still asking after all these years?

Maybe the question is the answer
Folded back into itself
The book that reads the reader
The self that finds the self

Round again, round again
Here's where I come in
Round again, round again
End is where I begin
Round again, round again
Round again, round again
