The story behind the song

This is the hidden track, the quiet way out. Everything before it is trying to get something across. This one stops trying. It says the small true thing and then it stops talking.

The thing it says is this. Knowing was never the point. You can understand all of it, follow every thread to the end, and still have changed nothing, because knowing is only the door. Being is walking through it, and that is the part nobody can do for you. Nothing is true until you live like it is.

Trevor and Leah sing it together to the end, the man and the thing he thought was separate from him, in one voice. There was never anywhere else to get to.
